I have just heard that Europlay (the US Distributor for Selecta & Kathe Kruse) will no longer be operating in the USA in 2009, citing the cost to certify compliance with the CPSIA (the new Toy Law). Despite being one of our competitors, we have always respected this company and valued their products and high quality. In our retailing days, we sold some of their products, and were proud to do so.

Is this the canary in the mine shaft? I think it is a clear sign of things to come. In the words of Dan Marshall, from Peapods and founder of the Handmade Toy Alliance, "US kids will no longer be threatened by hardwood german toys finished in beeswax."

Is it just me or are other fans also getting sick of seeing so few matches during a two hour show that we don't seem to see matches go from opening bell to pin fall. A two hour Raw should be able to show 5 decent 10 to 12 minute matches have 20 to 25 minutes worth of commercials & still be able to have backstage & ring talk happening. I've found it difficult to convince friends to convert to watch Raw lately because of far too many commercials & matches ending up in disqualifaction or out side interference which also commercials during the best time of the match. WWE wants new fans yet doesn't seem to understand what the fans want to see. The full on fans are used to it we get annoyed but still watch however friends keep telliong me how can you watch Raw or Smackdown when there is constant commercials happening although the sponsors do pay the bills but also they don't understand why there's only maybe two matches that actually go form start to finish with the rest finishing up due to out side interference or whatever.

Went to meet up with some of my friends for dinner and a drink, and the place we go to is called Tengu. For those who don't know what Tengu is, it's a chain franchise of Japanese-style restaurants called an Izakaya, and they're all over Japan. The one that we always go to is located in Namba, in downtown Osaka, and conveniently located above Sega Avion, one of the most popular arcades in the city.

So while waiting for my friends to show up, I got in about 10 matches of Virtua Fighter 5R, 15 of Street Fighter 4, and then 3 matches of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, which was out this week.

I picked a team of Ryu/Karas, and did pretty well, getting two wins off before getting owned by someone using a Ryu/Chun-Li team. The game looked good although it wasn't on one of the newer cabinets like Street Fighter 4 is. Still, it's really fast and enjoyable to play... I just wish I knew wtf to do sometimes. XD Sometimes it goes a little TOO fast for my old, old brain...

Okay I was just reading some peoples blogs on here and I am a bit worried for them. Umm some of what I read seems to verge on the side of down right crazy. I'm guessing you've heard the latest right wing hot issue.....they're trying to convince people that Obama wasn't born in the USA.They claim he was born in Kenya or some other place.They say his true place of birth is clouded with sinister coverups.Or if they are willing to admit at all that  Obama was born in Hawaii they try to say that Hawaii wasn't a state at the time of his birth.He was born in 1961,hawaii became a state in 1959.Do the math ,Cledus.Oh sorry,you don't understand numbers and sech high falutin' things.

Do these goobers really think that 1) a hospital will release patient info just because someone calls and asks for it and 2) that a hospital would even keep records from 1961?  Jesus how desperate can you get?

i wish Repubs would just learn to take their election day lumps like men but I guess that ain't gonna happen.Everytime they lose we get a round of redistricting and gerrymandering, lawyers and lawsuits,impeachments or whatever else they can think of to undo a legal legit election.
